Structure of the Procurement Engineering Department

The procurement engineering department was officially established in Kavir Steel Complex in 2014. The basis of this unit is formed based on the subject of specialization-orientation of the experts. According to their specializations, the procurement engineering department does the purchasing operations in five separate units with regard to the required expertise.

Strategic Planning

Assigning the supporting service to the procurement department is one of the procurement planning unit missions. This unit performs its activities in the two fields of ‘procurement planning’ and ‘supplying resources management".

  • Preparing the planning reports and performance of the units in the field of supplying process
  • Preparing the requirements of statistics and reports of internal units and external organizations in the field of supply
  • Optimizing and updating work methods and improving workflows
  • Participating in the implementation of management systems in the field of supply
  • Performing the intermediary role between the information systems of the field of supply and other systems of the company
  • Managing, identifying, and evaluating suppliers
  • Co-operating in the implementation of the quality system and elimination of the existing situations according to the company's determined regulations
  • Participating in implementing and maintaining the strategies and policies of the organization in the field of information security management
  • Implementing, using, and applying updated standards and documents according to the company's determined regulations
  • Offering suggestions for maximumuse of the given authorities
  • Performing required actions related to the training of the supervised employees to enhance their level of skills and expertise, following up on holding courses
  • Supervisizing observation of the requirements, strategies, and policies of the company in the field of the quality management system
  • Co-operatingooperation in supplying the necessary information for the management information systems
  • Documenting and sharing technical knowledge according to the mechanisms defined in the company
  • Keeping documents based on defined archiving principles
  • Determining economic and qualitative goals and addressing how to achieve such goals
  • Directing shopping activities towards goals
  • Supervising and encouraging the expansion of the database and monitoring the scoring of suppliers
  • Supervising how to record purchases in units in order to control the purchasing process and statistics
  • Presenting reports and analyzing the unit in specific time intervals and strategies for examining the strengths and weaknesses and creating goals in this regard
  • Preparing and submiting performance reports on the activities of the department under the supervision

Raw Materials Purchasing Unit

The raw material purchasing unit has the responsibility of time and quality procuring of all the required raw materials of different production units from the existing resources as follows:

  • Production raw materials and raw basis, including Different types of steel slabs with various grades

Purchasing Standard and produced components

The mission of this unit is to provide spare parts, consumable materials, equipment, and machinery. In accomplishing this mission, this unit is organized as follows:

  • Mechanical parts
  • Electrical and automation parts
  • General industrial parts and tools
  • Chemical materials, lubrication materials, and refractories
  • Administrative mechanisms and devices, computer systems, and their components
  • Health & safety parts
  • General items (food, hygienic materials, etc.)
  • Industrial machinery and equipment

Purchasing services, repairs, and contracts

The mission of this unit is to provide spare parts, consumable materials, equipment, and machinery. In accomplishing this mission, this unit is organized as follows:

  • Services and repairs of electrical and automation parts
  • Services and repairs of mechanical parts
  • Civil services
  •  Service and maintenance of equipment and machinery

  • Consulting and engineering services

Foreign Procurement

The mission of this unit is to provide the required spare parts, equipment, and machinery from foreign resources.  In accomplishing this mission, this unit is organized as follows:

  • Mechanical parts
  • Electrical and automation parts
  • Lubricants, and refractories
  • Industrial machinery and equipment
  • Performing inspection, transportation, and release services
